The Great Canadian Mutual Funds Co-op is our community of investors who believe Canadians deserve better from a $2-trillion industry — better education, honest fee disclosure, and tools that work for the investor instead of the salesperson.
What the Co-op is
A free membership community built around three activities:
- Learning together. Plain-language guides, the Mutual Fund Genie, and member Q&A — because confusion is the industry's most profitable product.
- Comparing notes. Members share what they actually pay. Sunlight on fees moves markets more than regulation does.
- Pushing for better. Plain-English explainers of regulatory changes, and a collective voice in consultations that are usually advisor-industry monologues.
What the Co-op is not
We are not a dealer. We don't sell funds, take commissions, or give personal investment advice. Nothing here replaces a licensed advisor when you need one — we even keep a directory of advisors who welcome informed clients.

A free account makes you a member: portfolio tracker, daily Genie questions, and the newsletter. Genie+ supporters fund the mission and get unlimited Genie access. That's the whole model — education funded by the educated, not by fund companies.
